Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some of the questions you may have. Feel free to contact me with any others!

What subjects do you cover?

My strengths are in literature, but I have written papers for many subjects (philosophy, psychology, etc.). The only subjects I'd approach with caution are those that are highly technical. This is something we would discuss prior to any kind of payment.

Where is the session held?

The session is on Zoom in 40 minute increments. If you are uncomfortable with the camera or speaking, we can leave sound and mic off and just use chat. If you have other accessibility needs, just ask!

Who do you help?
At this point in time, I expect to work primarily with adults who are in an undergraduate program, but I will also work with older teens who are getting ready for college writing..

How soon can we meet?
Papers are time-sensitive! My schedule is flexible and I can most likely meet with you within twenty-four hours.

How much does a session cost?
Currently, it is $20 for a forty minute Zoom session.

How is the fee paid?
At the moment, I am only using Paypal. Payment is expected immediately before class.

What is the process?

Once booked, you will fill out a form with information to help me understand your needs. It's critical at this phase to send the assignment to me, either copied and pasted, or uploaded. This way I can be sure I understand the assignment. Next, we'll break the assignment down into its parts, making sure we understand the requirements. We'll go through some other pre-writing exercises, such as brainstorming, outlines, and sniffing out a few sources. I'll give you other suggestions along the way.

Do you provide any other services?
Right now my focus is on writing papers, but if you have another request, I am open to discussing it.

What does Autistic and ADHD-Friendly mean, and what other accommodations can be made?
I have personal experience with both of these differences, being neurodivergent myself. I'm familiar with the challenges (and strengths!) involved. I try to keep everything low-pressure, and take time to check in with my learner as we go to make sure nothing is too overwhelming. While classes are on Zoom, we can use chat instead of speech. This also means I am prepared to work with people with hearing loss, as well. I'm always happy to address an accommodation request.

What if my school has a writing center?
If your school has a resource center, that's great! I believe every student should try them. My goal is to fill in any gaps there may be in service availability, accommodation, or to fulfill a desire for a consistent, neurodivergent tutor.

What don't I do?

I do not write papers for you.
